Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal barge on the
Royal lake for photo stop. Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a
colossal reclining Buddha. Visit to the city centre with the gilded
2500 years Sule Pagoda. And visit colonial style buildings
surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow
street of China Town including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then,
shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon
Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening.

Day 02: Yangon – Bago – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock)
(by car)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kyaikhtiyo and
on the way Bago sightseeing. Visit Kyat Khet Wine Monastery, where a
thousand monks take their last meal of the day at 10:00 am in total
silence, and Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung. Then
continue to Kyaikthiyo, one of Myanmar’s landmark, which is famous
for its position and religious importance: Kyaikhtiyo the “Golden
Rock “, huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately
balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun a
steep 11km road leads to the upper staging point by trunk. Take a
light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest. Enjoy the sunset
beauty on the hill top and overnight at the hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.
After breakfast at hotel, in the morning same way back to Kinpun.
Then about 2 hours drive to Thaton. Long before rise of Bagan.
Thaton was an important center of Mon-civilization, that stretched
from the delta of Ayeyarwaddy River to Thailand and Cambodia, the
center of co-called Golden Land “Suvannabhmi” from here Buddhism
came to Bagan when Thaton was conquered by King Anawratha, the
founder of Bagan dynasty in 1057. You will visit the golden Pagoda
Shwe Zayan, supposedly built during the early Mon area, famous
Standing Buddha shows similarity with Dvaravati-period Buddha in
central Thailand. Then you continue the drive through beautiful
landscapes further south to Mottama (Martaban), where Thanlwin River
empties into the Gulf of Martaban. Aboard a double – Decker
passenger ferry you will cross the river towards Moulmein, now
Mawlamyine, served as capital of British Burma from1827 to 1852.
Many colonial style buildings create the atmosphere of a by-gone era
and many Buddhist stupas crown the top of hill around the tropical
town. Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyine (hotel offers low standard
only).
Day 04: Excursion Shampoo Island – Mudon (by
boat & car)
The morning will start with a city tour and
continues with an excursion by boat to picturesque Shampoo Island.
In the afternoon you will drive direction Mudon, where you will seea
160 meters long Reclining Buddha under construction. And then if you
like, you can take a swim at Setse Beach . Return to Mawlamyine in
late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyine.
Day - 05: Mawlamyine – Phaan – Bago – Yangon (by
car)
In the morning you will start the day tour back to Yangon. You will
cross the Thanlwin River (Salween) using the new bridge close to
Phaan; then you might meet women in traditional dress on the market.
After reaching Bago you will start with sightseeing; photo stop at
the tallest golden pagoda of the country, visit to huge Reclining
Buddha and to Kaikpun pagoda with its four sitting Buddha’s facing
the cardinal corners of Earth. Arrive in Yangon and overnight.
Day 06: Shopping & departure (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, morning at Gems mart
and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market where you can
buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport to departure.
